Arts Commission
Overview:
Mission: The mission of the Arts Commission shall be to promote the use of the Village's public spaces including the Municipal Building and outdoor venues for display of visual and performing arts of various media, and welcome and review proposals from artists
Invitation to Artists & Curators:
The Village of Ardsley Public Art Program at the Village Hall Gallery aims to enrich community life by fostering public engagement with the arts. Through a rotating series of juried installations, this initiative encourages a vibrant dialogue between art and residents, celebrating creativity in our shared space.
We are currently welcoming proposals for installations (for example: paintings, photography, textile, needlework) in the Village Hall Gallery with a duration of approximately six months (i.e. January -June). The time frame is flexible and can be adjusted to meet the artist’s and village’s needs. The proposed gallery installation can showcase the work of one artist or a group of artists (not to exceed more than six artists).
The Ardsley Arts Commission invites artists to submit proposals that can be enhanced through public events, such as lectures, workshops, or panel discussions.
